FAQ
Although this concept has been around for many years it is still fairly unknown. So I thought it would be good to answer some of the most frequently asked questions here:

A: OH MY GOODNESS NO! The process used to intall your ceiling art is just that: ART. I use top quality (bright and long lasting) glow in the dark (GITD) mediums to create your heavenly recreation!

A: Actually, the opposite is the case. A WHITE/LIGHT ceiling/wall (surface) is the absolute best to work with. The mediums I use are practically unnoticeable during the day or under normal light on lighter backgrounds. In fact, they are much more noticeable the darker the background is. Doesn't mean it can't be done, just means you'll see it a lot more during the day.

A: It is true that I will need the room to be dark to provide the best possible outcome, but that can be accomplished without it being dark outside. NO. The installation does not have to be done at night.

A: The average ceiling/wall installation takes anywhere from 2 - 5 hours to complete. A great deal has to do with how well the room is prepared prior to my arrival and how detailed you want your artwork to be.

A: Your night sky will glow well into the night. Properly charged you will still be able to see the stars faintly up until full light enters the room.

A: These mediums have been tested and used for over 20 years and still retain their ability to charge and shine!

A: No special equipment is needed. That being said, however, if you have a blacklight your ceiling and wall art will charge and hold a charge much brighter and longer. Blacklights are available at a variety of stores including on-line. BUT - Sunlight works just fine! As does regular incandescent lighting. With sunlight and incandescent you must make sure the art is exposed for a minimum of 20 - 30 minutes. And don't forget that no matter what it takes your eyes about 20 minutes to adjust to total darkness, so the FULL effect of your ceiling art is best observed after that 20-minute mark.

A: None at all. An MSDS is available upon request. These materials are used in installations in nurseries, baby rooms, hospitals, nursing homes, spas, you name it. The materials are safe and not known to have any harmful effects.

A: No. (Come on, a girl has to have her secrets!)

Q: What do you mean by 'astronomically accurate'?
A: I will  place real constellations in real proportions in the real way they relate to each other on your ceiling or walls. You will be able to identify these constellations and refer back to them using standard star charts. The rest of the star fields are artistically placed.

Q: Where can I see an installation prior to purchase?
A: Go outside on a clear night and look up! No, just kidding! I will come to your location and provide a demo. No obligation. This really is something you MUST see to be able to appreciate and I'm not sure I would be willing to do one unless you have actually seen it!

A: Well Heaven forbid you decide to get rid of your artwork! But life happens, so I understand :-)
The answer to the question is: No. The installation is not permanent. However, it will take quite a bit of paint and effort to completely cover it up. At least a GOOD primer and a couple coats of paint. See the next question for more...

A: Most landlords don't have a problem, especially since it is a value-add for their property. But if you are concerned you should definitely have your landlord contact BTH and have any of their questions answered. Also, if your landlord says, "NO" - no problem! There are other ways to 'install' your ceiling/wall art which will allow you to take it with you when you move. Use the "Contact Us" form to get more information.

Q: My location is not in the Phoenix area but I still want your services... what can I do?
A: This is not a problem. Use the "Contact Us" form to start communication on how we can get you a celestial ceiling!
